Struggles
Life is a struggle. God made them full of challenges. From the moment the ovum is fertilised, from the moment when life created, our struggles begin. (Or maybe begin from the moment when sperms competiting with each other to penetrate through the ova?) Even though our cells successfully divided and grow into embryo, but we still need to struggle to stick to the wall of the uterus.... and better not stick wrong place, or else will lead to ectopic pregnancy, you will die and your mum's Fallopion tube will burst. And then again, you have to worry about the genetic coding and your mum's behaviour and also the environmental factors for next 40 weeks. One mistake in gene coding (deletion, transduction, mutation etc etc) will result in genetic disorder, and you will get aborted. If mum drinks or smokes ----> you'll come out with ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) or retarded, if mum consume drugs during 1st trimester ---> you will suffer heart disease for whole life. If mummy is single mum, you'll have to worry if she's gonna abort you, and you gotta struggle hard to make her fall in love with you and bring you to earth.
Even if you survive the 40 weeks long in mummy's womb and it's time to get out. You still need to struggle to get out through the tiny hole via the vagina and pelvic outlet. Some babies die bcos of shoulder distortion bcos the baby is too big to go out through the vagina and the mum refuse to go for C-section. So pray that you dun have a stubborn mum! Pls do listen to doctor's advices! And kids which come out via C-section, they are a bit slow and put less effort in whatever they do kind of personality. Because, the 1st struggle in life is to go out via mum's vagina and they didn't have to struggle there. Doctor cut open mum's tummy, opened a door for the baby to come out. Phew, no stress, no struggle, no sweat. Come out safe and intact without complication.
And then again in the process of growing up. In kindergarden, we fight with other kids for color pencils, crayons and stuff like that. And then we fight for seats in school bus. When we're a little older, somehow we learn to be kiasu. Everything also must be no.1, in academic, karate competition, drawing contest, maybe even see who can eat n drink the fastest. (Yes! I do observe the bahaviour of my little brother and his little friends.... there's another fella i know out there also have similar behaviour till now aha!). And every kid try to their best to show off their talent to attract adult's attention so that they'll get compliments from the adults (teachers, parents).
When we enter the teenage stage, girls will try outdo each other in beauty, guys will compete to go after the hottest chick in high school. Really, does it matter how someone look like? I was never in the center of attention bcos i was not a beautiful girl. That's why it puzzles me when the rest of the girls are competiting with each other to gain popularity among the guys. Like SJ said, i think guys sometimes really think with their dick. They are always competiting among themselves trying to catch hold on the hottest chick, and then the next minute they will get dumped by their hot chick, and she'll be with another guy.
Then we all grow up, become adult, enter university, plan our future, find our ways. And the competition and challenges and watsoever get worse. People become more and more selfish, kiasu, and "very celaka". I'm not sure why but some people constantly worry that other people will do better than them, therefore these people will never share anything with other people, especially knowlegde. And the boy-girl relation thingy continues into adulthood. Still guys chasing hot chicks, in their eyes can only see the pretty girls, not so good-looking one are pushed aside. But the difference is, guys become more desperate. They want to get laid and lost their virgin status.... hey... go Thai call for prostitute la if so desperate! And pretty girls like usual, can "jual mahal" bcos they have the quality. And rich guys get pretty girls. And so, all guys will compete to buy expensive gifts for that girl. Don't u think beautiful girls have a lot of advantages? Even though they might be bitchy, but guys still stick to them like honey and bee.
Next, when we manage to pull through in university and manage to graduate. This time we need to worry about our job. Where to work? How? Where to begin from? From now on how should i walk my path? This is a universal problem. Even me. I have started to worry about my future already. Doctor? Lecturer? CEO? Model? UNICEF ambassador? Whatever is it, as long as we give in our best, we'll definitely go through any hardships rite?
Happy struggling for the coming days! I hope you will win your struggle! And counting... 3 days to New Year 2007.
